Kate Murphy

Center Director

Leading with care and a commitment to all that the Cradle Club stands for, Kate brings a strong sense of devotion and a plethora of professional experience to our team. After beginning her career with us as a preschool teacher in 2013, Kate was promoted to leadership for the many ways she fulfills our mission of bringing laughter, learning and love to the children and families we serve. Born and raised in the UK, Kate has a bachelor’s degree with honors in American Studies and Film & Media from the University of Central Lancashire, Preston UK in partnership with the University of Kentucky, USA. She has experience working with children of all ages and uses her unique background to share her love of literacy, art and all things creative with them! Kate is a mom to two amazing daughters and is excited to share her love of children and passion for early childhood education with all of the families we serve.

Kara Kellerhuis

Assistant Director

Kara began working in The Cradle Club’s toddler program in February 2013. She holds an Associate’s Degree from Rasmussen College in Early Childhood Education and has been working with children of all ages since high school when she began nannying. She has a special love for older toddlers and has successfully potty-trained hundreds of children during her time here! As our assistant director, Kara goes above and beyond to help us meet center needs as they arise. She loves having the opportunity to work closely with all the children, staff and families in our school so she can help foster great days and success for everyone! In her free time, Kara loves playing volleyball and relaxing at the cabin with her husband, three sons; Louie, Brooks and Benson plus their adorable dog Dorothy.
