Meet our Minneapolis Director Team

Liz Mendez

Center Director

Liz graduated from the University of Northwestern with a degree in Intercultural Studies and Teaching English as a Second Language. After college, Liz spent three unforgettable months in Asia teaching English, an experience that deepened her love for language, culture and helping kids learn with confidence and joy.

When Liz returned home to Minneapolis, she dove into the early childhood education world. Over the past seven years, she has worn many hats, beginning as an infant teacher in a Spanish bilingual classroom and eventually growing into the director role where she has led teams of teachers and overseen the care and education of countless kiddos over many years. Liz is passionate about creating warm, welcoming spaces where young learners can explore, laugh and feel safe. Today, Liz’s greatest inspiration comes from her own two small children, who love Minnnesota almost as much as she does. As both a mom and an educator, she values partnering with families and supporting each child’s unique learning journey. She is truly grateful to be apart of The Cradle Club and to play a role in helping our children grow and thrive.

Beginning her career at The Cradle Club as a teacher in 2005, Cara also brings extensive classroom experience to her current role. Cara is a mom to two beautiful girls of her own and is passionate about providing children with healthy, balanced meals that fuel their growth and development.
